The Issue
- As a recreational naturist, I appreciate the freedom and connection to nature that comes with being unclothed in a natural setting. While I generally prefer to wear clothes, the option to enjoy a nude beach is something I treasure. I'm considering relocating to the scenic areas near Lake Tahoe in Carson, Nevada, where these unique spaces are available.
Unfortunately, even on designated nude beaches, there's a risk of legal repercussions or being told to cover up if others nearby express discomfort. Such a situation defies the very purpose of having nude beaches, where individuals choose to enjoy the environment without clothing. If discomfort arises, those affected should have the option to leave, not the naturists who are there to enjoy it. Nudity alone isn't sexual and there's nothing inappropriate about our bodies and it has a lot of benefits too.
Nude beaches offer a peaceful retreat and personal freedom that deserve protection. No one visiting these spaces by choice should face legal action for simply being themselves. Nudity is nothing to be ashamed of and if it was up to God, every one of us would be naked anyway.
