The Issue

California's new gun laws are choking my business and infringing upon the rights of citizens to defend themselves. With requirements like microstamping, soaring fees, and mandatory training, what we're facing isn't about safety—it's about attrition. The Department of Justice claims these measures enhance public safety, but in reality, they're systematically disarming law-abiding citizens, making them feel less safe than ever before.

Take, for example, the burdensome mandates and excessive taxes that are making it almost impossible for people like me to maintain a lawful business. The high costs associated with compliance are crippling, turning a legitimate business operation into an act of defiance. Many of us see the restrictions as a deliberate attempt to erode our ability to bear arms for the protection of life and property, violating the very core of our rights as guaranteed by both the United States Federal Constitution-Second Amendment and the California Constitution.

Imagine feeling unsafe in your own home, simply because you can't afford the high costs and meet the strenuous requirements imposed by these laws. Imagine a future where honest, law-abiding citizens are left defenseless while the state overreaches into our constitutional rights. This is not the America we know, and certainly not the California we want to live in.

Action is needed to protect the second amendment by making it illegal for any local or state official to aid others in enforcing laws that infringe upon our right to bear arms. This petition proposes that no local, county, state, or federal government representative should have the authority to uphold laws that conflict with this fundamental right.

Your voice matters in this fight for freedom and security. Stand with us to protect the rights guaranteed by our constitutions. Sign this petition to send a clear message to our lawmakers that the right to bear arms is non-negotiable and must be preserved for the protection and peace of law-abiding citizens in California.
