With past Presidents and Vice Presidents who seem to represent the oil industry, rather than the American people, and too many members of Congress willing to do their bidding, the Arctic Wildlife Refuge is under siege, yet, again.  Drilling the oil in the Arctic might increase the profits of oil companies, but, it will not solve our dependency on foreign oil. It will seriously endanger the precious wildlife habitat of the Refuge and add to global warming.  The American people have spoken repeatedly, in polls and through messages to Congress:  We want the Arctic Wildlife Refuge carefully protected.  "...There's a beacon in the sky, meant to catch your eye...", sung by Happy Rhodes.  Concentraton on solar energy, no non-renewable energy resources and no nuclear, is what's needed.  We don't want it opened for mineral or petroleum exploitation, ever.
