Call to Action – Phase 2 of our campaign.
If the Story Homes planning application (260049) for 205 houses is approved by the planning committee the building works are likely to take 6 years from start to finish. A child starting at Marsden Primary school at the same time will have their whole school life disrupted.
The following councillors have been appointed to the Planning committee and will decide on this application for these unwanted 205 houses on Marsden Primary School fields when it is placed on the planning meeting agenda (Date to be confirmed)

We need to send early notification to these councillors that the Story homes application is not wanted by Whitburn residents and provide reasons why it is not sustainable.
Even if you do not live in Whitburn please reach out to these councillors as the Story homes decision will set a precedent in South Tyneside where huge areas of the green belt are vulnerable to similar planning applications from wealthy developers.
When you email these councillors ask them to acknowledge receipt.
