Additional information and amended plans for the Story Homes application to build 205 houses on the green fields around Marsden Primary school have been submitted to the Council.

It is important that there are further responses to this amended application as the original responses do not take into account this additional information and the amended plans .

There remains significant issues that have not been addressed adequately in these amended plans, notably with :

• a lack of social infrastructure, (Doctors, dentists, school places)
• insufficient sewage collection and treatment capacity,
• increased traffic from the development
• inadequate transport plan - too car reliant 
• traffic congestion due to construction works during the 6 years the building work will take to complete (as above), 
• the threat to protected wildlife (curlews) and
• the net loss of biodiversity this development will create with a compensation strategy that does not benefit Whitburn

There will be other areas that concern you.
