Hello everyone
Today I attended a meeting with the South Tyneside Member of Parliament, Emma Lewell which was organised for Whitburn village residents who are concerned about the proposal to build 205 houses in the green fields around Marsden Primary School.
The MP shared our concerns and has agreed to write to the South Tyneside Council Planning Authority and submit her objections to the planning application by Story Homes.
Residents expressed the view that more people in the community should be made aware of what is happening and given support and advice as to what they could do to help to protect these fields.
As we have only until 13 March to submit objections to this planning application to South Tyneside council by quoting ref number 260049 and emailing planning@southtyneside.gov.uk and it was agreed that a residents led meeting should be arranged as soon as possible.
The meeting has been arranged for Thursday 5th March 7pm
The venue is the Whitburn Methodist Church Hall
North Guards
Whitburn
SR6 7AF
Entry via the main church doors
I understand that this may be short notice for some but please spread the word and share the details of this meeting.
Hope to see you on Thursday
Steve Lavelle
