Hi All
As anticipated, the multimillionaire developer that is Story homes has put in a formal application to build 205 houses on the green belt around Marsden Primary School in Whitburn.
The documents supporting this application can be found on the South Tyneside Council website under reference number 260049 at https://tinyurl.com/4a4w46ep
The developers are adamant this is grey belt and claim that ‘this position on Grey Belt is agreed with the LPA ‘.
The developer's statement of community involvement declares, 'Of the comments received 152 objected to the development (94% objection rate), 7 supported the development and 3 were neutral.'
I will be submitting objections to this application and you can do the same by quoting the reference number 260049 and emailing your comments to planning@southtyneside.gov.uk
You have until 13 March to formally object.
This is the time to submit your objections to the council and, if you are able, ask to speak at the planning committee meeting when this application is considered.
It is local election year so the councillors will be likely to more receptive to the views of their constituents.
Regards
Steve Lavelle
