There is an effort underway by a resident of Peachtree City to declare a multi use path segment adjacent to their home, connecting their cul-de-sac to a main path, "private," and to either close it entirely, restrict access to others, and/or limit what others can do while using it. 

The multi use path system contains scores of similar segments, passing between or near homes, connecting residential streets to trunk paths that knit the city together into a system wherein users can easily access the paths for recreation or transportation virtually anywhere in town. 

If this request is honored, it could start a flood of similar requests, limiting access to the paths and defeating the design and functionality of Peachtree City's greatly admired multi use path system. 

Please sign the petition to tell the Peachtree City Council that you support keeping the Multi Use Path System freely accessible to all users, and to urge them to turn down requests to close any segments over individual resident's privacy or other concerns.
