We are personally touched and deeply saddened by the countless lives lost to extrajudicial killings (EJK) under the administration of President Duterte in the Philippines, including General Bato's part in these tragedies. General Bato, lionized by some for his staunch support for President Duterte, has been an accomplice in the monstrous wave of EJK that has left waves of devastation in our beloved country. 

Invoking international justice, we implore for the prosecution of General Bato at The Hague, the city that hosts the International Criminal Court. The ICC is a powerful body that exists for the very purpose to prosecute individuals for crimes against humanity, which includes EJK. Dutch law echoes the sentiment that no person, regardless of their position, should escape justice for their crimes. By levelling charges against General Bato, we inch one step closer to justice for the lives abruptly ended and the families eternally marred in this tragic affair.
