Prosecute Auto Theft in Denver

Prosecute Auto Theft in Denver
The Issue
Nationwide, car thefts have become a growing issue. Every 43.8 seconds, there's a new vehicle theft in the United States. Denver alone surpassed 6,000 thefts in the first half of 2022. We lead the nation in car theft and need to hold our District Attorney's office accountable for prosecuting grand theft auto, amongst other charges. Vehicles are an essential tool for many to live and work.
Known crews and individuals are the ones stealing vehicles. In the past year alone I've had multiple thefts and attempted thefts on my truck across the city. Victims are being assaulted and robbed with no recourse. After high speed chases and thorough investigations, the police make quality arrests, but the suspects are let off within hours. The same crews steal vehicles, but face no penalty. The victims are done carrying the financial and emotional burden.
Beth McCann is the District Attorney of Denver and disregards these cases. We need somebody who will use common sense to look at these numbers and do something about curbing auto theft. The insurance companies and individuals are tired of paying out.
Beth McCann needs to act now on auto theft or step down for someone who will do the job. First thing is to hold the criminals accountable.
If you or someone you know has had their vehicle stolen, the Denver District Attorney’s Office would love to hear:
