Proscribe Justice for Innocent Men Scotland

Proscribe Justice for Innocent Men Scotland
The Issue
As a survivor, the existence of JIMS (Justice for Innocent Men Scotland) is deeply concerning and personal to me. JIMS is purportedly a group dedicated to advocating for men who claim they have been falsely accused of sexual offenses. However, their actions paint a different picture. Not only do they undermine the experiences of survivors, but they also actively threaten and harass victims of convicted men online. Their propagation of misinformation about the Scottish court process and wild conspiracy theories sows distrust and confusion.
The stakes are incredibly high. Survivors may find it even harder to come forward, fearing public disparagement from groups like JIMS. Furthermore, such baseless attacks and misinformation campaigns risk eroding public confidence in bona fide justice processes. In a country that strives for fairness, tolerance, and justice for all, leaving room for such groups to operate is unacceptable.
JIMS claim they are fighting for justice, but in reality, they are an affront to it. They sully the credibility of legitimate claims of false accusations by tying them into conspiracy theories and unfounded assertions. This not only diverts precious attention and resources away from genuine grievances but also trivializes the pain of survivors.
We call upon the Scottish government and legal bodies to take strong and immediate action against JIMS. This starts with proscribing the group as a hostile entity seeking to destabilize the judicial process and undermine the rights of survivors. Regulatory bodies must scrutinize their communications and activities, ensuring that they are held accountable for any misinformation and harassment they perpetuate.
By signing this petition, you join the call to protect survivors' rights and ensure all advocacy groups operate within the bounds of truth, fairness, and justice. Let us work together to create a safer environment where justice is served, not distorted. Please sign this petition to help make Scotland a safer place for survivors and to maintain the integrity of our justice system.
