The Issue
We, the undersigned , who live near the above referenced properties but just outside the city's 500 foot radius notification zone, STRONGLY OPPOSE the proposed rezoning of these properties from their existing R-16 to allow for a total of 50 patio homes, in combination of 39 three-story units on lots as small as 1,500 sf lots and 11 two-story units as shown in the attached proposed most recent site plan labeled Exhibit A. We FULLY SUPPORT the attached compromise alternative site plan labeled Exhibit B that would reduce the total number of homes to 25, in a combination of 9- two story homes on a private cul-de-sac on Betty Jane along with 16- two- story homes on a private cul-de- sac on Walnut Hill Lane, similar to the zoning density established in PD 1060(ordinance #31993) for a similar sized property in Melshire Estates neighborhood at Forrest lane and Quincy Lane that was also preciously zoned R-16. We feel strongly that decreasing the lot sizes for these two properties from 16,000sf to 1,550sf is much too extreme a change and found nowhere else in our community or in our surrounding neighborhoods.
