New condo listings have just been released for the “Tiller and Grace” development, located across from Cordova Bay School. Prices range from $699,000 (1 bed, 1 bath) to $1,659,000 (2 bed, 2 bath). Please see the following link to view the current listings. Note that the lower-priced units likely do not feature ocean views. These listings at least offer a helpful benchmark for current condominium pricing in Cordova Bay.

By comparison, the proposed Aragon development is expected to include units with Ocean, Mountain, and Lake views (Elk and Beaver Lakes due to multiple HIGH-RISE buildings) suggesting even higher prices, despite the fact that construction has yet to begin. This casts even more doubt on claims that the project will provide “affordable housing,” especially considering the devastating impact such a large-scale development would have on our community.

You can also currently buy a HOUSE in Saanich that is cheaper than many of these condominiums for sale!

Meanwhile, residents of Central Saanich are currently opposing a 131-unit development over concerns that it will further strain existing infrastructure - just as we are with the Aragon proposal. However, our situation involves a development ten times larger!  Please click the following link to read more, as it highlights many of the same concerns we share.

While we continue to wait for Aragon’s formal proposal to Saanich, our petition is nearing 1,775 signatures—continuing a powerful and significant show of community concern and engagement.
