Safe Haven Baby Boxes provide an option for desperate parents who can't keep their babies, as well as helps combat incidences related to postpartum depression. They permit parents to surrender their infants without facing legal repercussions, thereby potentially saving a life. According to the Safe Haven Baby Boxes organization, since the launch in 2016, there have been no reported fatalities of infants abandoned in these boxes. The stark contrast to the average 150 annually abandoned infants, as cited by the Department of Health and Human Services, validates the effectiveness of these boxes.

Our town, police officers, and fire department must consider the installation of these Safe Haven Baby Boxes. Every baby deserves a safe space. It is our moral obligation to provide that.
