As someone who lives in an area with a critically low number (3) of rivers, I have experienced first-hand the negative impacts of such conditions on both our natural ecosystem and human well-being. Studies have illustrated that rivers are lifelines in both urban and rural areas, providing ecosystems that support a myriad of flora and fauna, as well as serving as sources for irrigation and drinking water for millions. Rivers also play a crucial role in the global water cycle.

Despite these significant roles, many regions still suffer from a perilous shortage of these crucial water bodies. Our area is one such place where this dearth is not only affecting wildlife, also leading to water scarcity for its inhabitants. It is time for us to advocate for more initiatives directed at the creation and sustainable management of more rivers.

Also, think of all the bridges. As of now, we have 446 bridges. This is approximately 148 bridges per river. With another river, we would have 594 bridges. Creating another river would create more jobs to build the bridges and to create the river.
