Promote Respect and Fair Treatment at Summit Polymers

The Issue

We are employees at Summit Polymers Inc. in Mt Sterling, KY. Our experiences here have taught us to be good to one another, lend a helping hand, and hold the correct people accountable for what they did instead of trying to place the blame on someone else. We, the employees of Summit Polymers Inc. have made a pact so that we can make a change for the better within our company's environment. Our supervisor has been treating her employees disrespectfully. We've been subjected to rude, unprofessional behavior, and clear favoritism, which is disheartening and fundamentally wrong.

In any workplace, fairness, respect, and professionalism are the cornerstones of a thriving environment. The best performing companies in the world share these aspects, establishing a culture that fosters growth, innovation, and employee satisfaction (source: Gallagher 'State of the American Workplace' report, 2017). In contrast, a hostile work environment lowers morale, increases stress, and consequently affects productivity.

At Summit Polymers, where we work to provide top-quality plastic parts for diverse clients, we deserve an atmosphere conducive to productivity and respect. Treating all employees equitably is mandated by The Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin.

We are calling on the management of Summit Polymers to take decisive action, ensuring that all employees, regardless of their positions, are treated with dignity, fairness, and professionalism. We need to do away with Christy Wells on first shift. She is not for her employees nor do she practice what she preaches.
