Promote Mrs. DeWees!

The Issue

Mrs DeWees is resigning due to the under appreciation of Isle of Wight County school board. She has applied for school principal, in which she is more than deserving of. We are devastated to hear of her departure as she has dedicated the last 10 years to the children of Isle of Wight and we as the parents believe she would be best suited for the position. We are signing this petition in hopes of bringing the school boards attention to the issue. We would love for Mrs. DeWees to stay as the principal.

Our children attend Windsor Elementary, a school that fosters an environment conducive to education and character building. Our Assistant Principal, Mrs. DeWees, plays a significant role in this. Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that our children have the best possible learning environment. With her unwavering commitment to education and dedication to the well-being of our children, we believe she would greatly deserve recognition for her remarkable service.

Educational leaders significantly impact student achievement, especially school principals and assistant principals. According to research conducted by the School Leadership Network, successful school leaders can increase student achievement by 20 percent (School Leadership Network, Year Unknown). Our assistant principal consistently contributes towards this success, transforming our school environment for the better.

Therefore, this petition serves to acknowledge her remarkable efforts and give her the spotlight she so justly deserves. Let our signatures serve as a testament to her hard work and dedication. We urge the school district board to officially recognize her diligent and relentless service to Windsor Elementary and promote her to Principal.

Please, sign this petition if you believe in giving well-deserved recognition to our assistant principal, Mrs. DeWees.
