As a minority working at Allied Universal Event Services in Pittsburgh, PA, I feel like me and all the other minorities don't get the best jobs or opportunities—they go to Caucasian people. It's disheartening to see no one that fights for us as a minority within management. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, diverse teams are 35% more likely to outperform their non-diverse counterparts (McKinsey & Company). Yet, our management remains homogenous.

We need representation that reflects our workforce's diversity and advocates for equal opportunities for all employees. By promoting diversity in management positions, we can ensure fair treatment and provide role models who understand and address our unique challenges.
