I am personally witnessing the spread of teenage pregnancy in our society. The instances of this issue increase daily, deeply impacting the future of our younger generation. Nearly 43 percent of the teens do not understand the implications of early pregnancy or how to protect themselves due to lack of comprehensive sex education.

It is a matter of global concern that according to United Nations Population Fund, every year approximately 21 million girls aged between 15 to 19 years give birth in developing regions. We need to combat this issue with better sex education. Knowledge is the greatest weapon, and with proper and comprehensive sex education, we can arm our young generation.

A report by Advocates for Youth emphasizes the importance of comprehensive sex education in reducing unintended teenage pregnancies. Comprehensive Sex Education not only provides information about contraception and sexual health but also builds up socio-emotional skills leading to healthier decisions.
