Why this petition matters

Started by Acire Love

Hello, my name is Erica Adeleye I am in dire need for support from anyone who may be able to help myself and my children whom are being maltreated by the systems of New York City, across the board from NYPD to ACS.

On December 3, 2021 I was in my home breastfeeding my 3 month old baby and preparing my 4 year old for school, when the swat team wrongfully broke into my home with guns drawn in my young children's face and abruptly removed my newborn from my breast . I was wrongfully arrested by 9 male officers and sent to a psychiatric ward at Lincoln Hospital against my will. I wish  to pursue a lawsuit against the system as my son is now 10 months and is in a foster home despite my vigorous efforts to keep him with family.

In addition to this traumatic experience the illegal case with the hospital and the swat team Judge Leapold adjourns meetings for months without probable cause. My Bronx defender is not being heard during court hearings. Despite the false allegations I have still been obedient to the court orders and completed all mental health and parenting requirements. Prior to this nasty event I myself was a mandated reporter and worked as a nurse. My home has since been broken into several times and I have been forced to leave the state where I have family and support. Please help me with the reunification of my children.

We are in need of as many resources as possible to help fight this case as soon as possible.  Any donation available would be greatly appreciated and will contribute directly to the attorney willing to represent this case with me. I am also asking for the press to be involved to highlight the gender violence women are subject to by the state resulting in being stripped of their children and human rights.

Please feel free to contact me directly at ericathorne66@gmail.com

Most Humble Regards
Erica Adeleye
