As competitive high school athletes, we feel directly affected by the participation of transgender athletes in sports categories conflicting with their biological sex. We believe that allowing transgender athletes to compete in these categories compromises the safety and opportunities other competitors, as well as the fairness and integrity of sports. Biological differences between males and females can provide unfair advantages in terms of strength, speed, and endurance.

We are asking the governing body of sports to prohibit the participation of transgender athletes on any team not according to their given, biological sex. We are advocating for officials to provide clear and strict guidelines that do not account for gender identity when separating athletes. This is crucial for ensuring a fair playing field where both female and male athletes can compete safely and equitably.
