We're advocating for a focused and distraction-free teaching environment at Newquay Tretherras School. The growing encroachment of smartphones like iPhones into classrooms is alarming. Research from the London School of Economics has shown that schools which ban mobile phones see a substantial improvement in test results (BBC, 2015). This intervention would benefit both students and teachers. Our goal is to instate a policy that prohibits the use of iPhones during lesson time, encouraging students to focus on the content being taught.
