I am a pet owner, like many others, whose dogs are terrified by the loud noises produced by fireworks. This fear is not unique to our pets. Countless domestic and wild animals suffer from anxiety and panic due to these loud explosions. Moreover, people who suffer from PTSD or have sensory issues also experience distress when exposed to such high-decibel sounds.

According to a study published in Applied Animal Behaviour Science, fireworks can cause both physical and psychological harm in animals (Applied Animal Behaviour Science Journal). The noise can lead them to run away, potentially getting lost or injured. For humans with PTSD or sensory issues, sudden loud noises can trigger severe anxiety attacks.

It's time we consider the well-being of these vulnerable groups over momentary entertainment. By banning loud fireworks, we can ensure a safer environment for all living beings affected by this issue.
