As a Massachusetts resident highly allergic to pesticides, I am vehemently opposed to the the rampant use of Round-up, which contains glyphosate, a compound that poses not only a potential threat to my health, but also the wellbeing of our native pollinating insects like bees butterflies and ants, and animals including rabbits, dogs, cats, and crucially, our children and adults. Many people are familiar with stories and lawsuits surrounding the use of this product yet it is still widely used by many companies and corporations in Massachusetts. 

Glyphosate, a key ingredient in Round-up, has been linked to a suite of health issues like skin rashes, lung irritation, and even cancer. It has also been tied to population declines in pollinators like bees and butterflies, which are vital to our environment and economy.

However, Massachusetts has not imposed any statewide restrictions on glyphosate's use. This is puzzling, given the number of countries and states that have already issued full or partial bans or major restrictions.

Let's unite to improve public health and protect our environment from the potential harm that glyphosate-based products can cause. We urge Massachusetts lawmakers to implement a comprehensive ban on the use of Round-up and similar products containing glyphosate.
