I am an animal lover, and recently, I was shocked to learn about a practice that deeply disturbed me - oil pouring on goose eggs to prevent them from hatching. This act is not only cruel but also disrupts the natural cycle of life.

Each year, thousands of goose eggs are subjected to this inhumane treatment as a method of population control (Audubon Society). Instead of allowing these creatures their right to life, we are snuffing it out before they even have a chance.

This practice is not only ethically questionable but also has potential ecological consequences. Geese play an essential role in our ecosystem by controlling pests and fertilizing the soil with their droppings (National Geographic). By preventing these birds from hatching, we could be disrupting delicate ecological balances.

We need legislation that prohibits this cruel act and promotes more humane methods for managing wildlife populations. Let's give geese the chance they deserve at life and uphold our responsibility as stewards of nature.
