I am deeply disturbed by the ongoing animal cruelty in rodeos, a spectacle that includes bull riding, calf roping, and steer wrestling. This issue is personal to me because I believe that no form of animal cruelty should exist in our society today. Ignoring such practices is as guilty as participating in them.

Rodeos often result in severe injuries and even death for animals involved. According to the Humane Society of the United States, thousands of animals are injured every year due to participation in rodeo events (Humane Society). These activities not only cause physical harm such as punctured lungs, ripped organs and tendons, injured tails and broken bones, but they also inflict psychological stress on these innocent creatures.

Moreover, it's important to note that these animals are not willing participants; they are forced into these dangerous situations purely for human entertainment. This is a clear violation of their rights and goes against our moral obligation to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

Our society has evolved over time with laws protecting children and vulnerable adults from harm; it's high time we extend this protection to all living beings. We must raise our voices against such blatant acts of cruelty towards animals.
