Fully nude events (mostly swimming) have become more popular over the last few years in Canada. These events accept all age groups including adults, teens and children.

As a country that emphasizes the importance of child safety, it becomes necessary for Canada to be proactive when it comes to their exposure in public events. One such area that requires scrutiny is the attendance of nudist events by minors. Canada has more than 100,000 practitioners of nudism, as reported by The Federation of Canadian Naturists (FCN). With this figure, the possibility of children being exposed to nudity at public events is a pressing concern. By law, the age of majority in Canada is 18, and so it is appropriate that only adults should participate in such gatherings. Enacting a ban would protect children from potential harm or discomfort, while maintaining the rights of legal adults to participate in activities of their choosing. It is hereby petitioned to the Parliament of Canada to implement a new regulation, restricting individuals under 18 to partake in nudist events across the country.
