My heart aches as I type this. I lost my precious daughter in a tragic accident in Arizona - she was on her motorcycle when she got hit by a lady making a left turn on a yellow arrow. Loss is difficult, but it is even harder when it is sudden and preventable. It is for my daughter, and for all the potential victims of such accidents, that I am advocating for a change. I am calling to eliminate left turns on yellow lights in our state. 
I want to start with 35 th Ave & Dunlap. No one was been prosecuted in this fatality. 
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, left turns are a leading cause in motorcycle accidents, accounting for 42 percent of all accidents involving a motorcycle and car. The proposed change is not merely sentimental; it can save lives. 

By eliminating left turns on yellow lights, we can reduce the risk of crashes significantly. Let us raise our voice so no other parent, sibling, friend, or loved one has to face the kind of tragic loss I am experiencing. I implore the citizens of Arizona, join hands with me in this fight. Let's endorse this change and make Arizona's roads safer for everyone.
