Unlike most other countries, in India, parents of children with special needs ( cerebral palsy, mental challenges, learning disorders, physical disabilities etc) are burdened with healthcare and costs associated with therapists, counsellors  and psychologists. These are high costs that are in most probability for a long tenure in a childs life. There is no provision for a tax break on the incomes of parents that are burdened with the cost of healthcare and rehabilitation. I therefore am petitioning using this platform to bring changes in taxation and healthcare reform for parents of children with special needs and disabilities.
