Proclaim The USA Officially a Christian Nation In Honor of Charlie Kirk

Proclaim The USA Officially a Christian Nation In Honor of Charlie Kirk
The Issue
Title:
Proclaim America as a Christian Nation — Honoring Heritage, Protecting Liberty, and Commemorating Charlie Kirk
Text:
We, the undersigned, respectfully call upon the President of the United States to issue a proclamation officially recognizing America as a Christian nation in a ceremonial and historical sense — not aligned with any particular denomination, but acknowledging the foundational role of Christianity in shaping our liberty, culture, and laws.
This recognition would not establish any branch of Christianity over another, nor diminish the rights of non-Christians, atheists, or people of any belief. Instead, it would affirm that America’s Christian heritage exists hand in hand with the First Amendment, which guarantees the free exercise of all faiths.
Just as our national motto “In God We Trust” acknowledges the spiritual roots of our Republic without mandating belief, so too can America be acknowledged as a Christian nation in a ceremonial way — honoring its past, uniting its present, and protecting the liberties of all peoples.
To underscore this balance between faith and freedom, we ask that this recognition be tied to the legacy of Charlie Kirk, whose life was dedicated to the defense of Christian values and American liberty. We propose that September 10th — the day of his tragic assassination — be commemorated each year as Christian Heritage and Liberty Day. On this day, Americans of all faiths and beliefs would come together to remember our Christian foundations, while reaffirming our national commitment to protect religious freedom for every citizen, regardless of belief.
By doing so, America would send a clear message to the world: that we can recognize our identity as a Christian nation ceremonially and historically, while also safeguarding the rights of all faiths, denominations, and individuals. This dual recognition strengthens, rather than weakens, our commitment to liberty.
