KRM Student's Union started this petition to Principal of KRM and

Dear Sir/Madam, The past year has been difficult for all of us. We were all forced to adapt to the new normal. However, when things have become better, out of nowhere we are told to shift back to the previous system. The annual examinations are already in progress, further, these exams were conducted only by the consent of parents. Despite the consent, the school out of nowhere (in between ongoing exams)releases a notice that the exams will be held offline. The date sheets for the annual examinations had been set for the third time after the government’s announcement which was understandable, however announcing another set of exams just for the sake of MARKS is nothing but the judging of a child’s merit through meager numbers. As a student we not only have to prepare for school exams, some even aspire to go abroad for higher studies and for that certain exams need to be given which are held during this time. Further, the students had already registered for these months ago, simply due to the reason that the exams would end by February(as the next session starts in early March for the board classes). As per the CBSE perspective, the students of class XI shall only have 10 months to prepare for their board exams, which we all know is not sufficient time to complete and revise the class XII syllabus. Not only this, but such I different attitude also shows indecisiveness.Sorry for being harsh but this is the truth. The students are already giving their exams, and now they need to give it again just to satisfy the criteria that the student is capable to be promoted to the next grade or not. This decision is simply the presentation of the orthodox mindset the education system follows. I again apologize for my tone of speech but this is the only way we students can express our thoughts. Please take time and rethink this decision as it not only affects the child but also their overall career. Lastly, I would like to “EDUCATION IS NOT ABOUT MARKS, BUT THE UNDERSTANDING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PRINCIPLES.
