Before I start talking, I would like you to know that I am affected less than others by the dress code, but that doesn't mean that I care any less. I go to a school where the dress code is unfair. It targets females, and makes it so that your body affects what you can wear. It makes it so that you can only wear shorts/skirts that are fingertip length, but that depends on the length of your arms! I have a friend who was dress coded today because her shorts were shorter than her fingertips, but her arms are longer than others. Meanwhile, other people with shorter arms are getting away with shorts and skirts that are so short they shouldn't exist! Being comfortable shouldn't be a sin! Educators use the excuse "Boys can't control themselves," but then the boys are the problem, and they should learn to control themselves! However, I do still think that there should be limits. You shouldn't be allowed to wear a skirt so short that you can see the lingerie beneath it, or wear shorts that reveal 99% of your legs. While I do agree with some of the restrictions, another one that I think should be changed is the no tank tops rule. Again, the educators blame the boys for not being able to control themselves, but again the boys need to learn to control themselves!
