The school board has made the change from spicy chicken sandwiches on Tuesday to "Chicken Bites" taking away the choice of having spicy chicken sandwiches. In my 1 and 3/4 years of experience here at Snow Canyon Middle School, my favorite meal, and I know other peoples favorite as well, by far has been the spicy chicken sandwiches, whether it be with tater tots or french fries. The chicken bites are alright, but they don't even compare to the sandwiches, and don't even get me started with the regular chicken sandwiches, which have almost no taste. The spicy chicken sandwiches have been gone from the menu for about 3 weeks now, and each week it does not come back, I crave the amazing taste of them. The eighth graders here do not have as much of a clue how much of a staple the chicken sandwiches have been here, but I speak for my fellow ninth graders who know just how amazing it can be. With the school lunches having no cost now, I realize it may be a funding issue which may result in the loss of the spicy chicken sandwich from the menu. However, I believe that this petition, even with the cost problem, can make a full comeback to the Snow Canyon Middle School, and the Washington County School Districts menus for a long time.
