Ramakrishnan Angarai started this petition to Prime Minister and

Considering our population (higher than USA & Europe put together), our Governments have managed the pandemic as good as, if not better than the above countries. For example, the population of UP is 2/3rd of that of USA and higher than that of Brazil and if we compare the lives lost in U.P. versus these two countries, you will understand what I mean.

However, we can do much better by better planning both at the state and national levels. By now, it is clear that part of the reasons for the current situation are hospital bed booking scams, hoarding of oxygen & medicines, as well as lack of adequate planning of the logistics needed for the second wave. We badly need standing committees in each State, as well as at the national level, which comprise not only medical professionals, but also engineers, managers, manufacturing and logistics industries, transporters and public figures – all with known integrity and commitment. These committees need to constantly watch the national, as well as international situation and advise the Governments well in advance as to the preparedness, latest advances in patient management, etc.

Also, these planning & advisory committees need to be in existence till the Coronavirus is totally eliminated from the world. The states must also create separate mechanisms that constantly check and report on malpractices involved in allotting hospital beds, hoarding medicines, etc. We must urgently pass very strict laws to instantly punish people, who demand bribes for covid beds, hoard oxygen, medicine, etc.

Please support this petition and demand this from every state; forward to everyone you know who will benefit, which is every Indian who cares.
