If the government go ahead with this decision, millions of coral, fish and plant species will die. If this were to happen the Australian economy would struggle due to huge amounts of tourists that come here to see it, but if we mine coal it will be polluted and dangerous to swim in. If we don't stop this our children, grand children and great grandchildren and so on, will not be able to see our wonderful reef and will only be able to look and pictures and say "wow I wish I could go there". But they won't be able to because the coral will be bleached due to coal burning and there will be channels carved out of the reef for shipping, we must stop it before its too late.
