Requesting PMO India to resolve traffic conditions in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech park Pune
The Issue
Dear Prime Minister/Chief Minister of Maharashtra , Sir, I am writing this on behalf of all the professionals working in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech park
,Hinjawadi ,Pune ,Maharashtra.
Sir for your information , this IT park is one of the largest Information Technology
park in India , and accommodates Core development centers for many Multinational IT giants . This park currently
has 3 phases and provides opportunities to millions of IT/ non IT professionals like me . Unfortunately while
developing this park (in 2004) we couldn't anticipate the scale on which this park will grow and didn't do enough
planning . As a result we are now stuck with the infrastructure that is not sufficient for it. To start with , as always it
is the roads. For park with this much of size there are only two approach roads . One coming from Wakad and
another one which was recently developed ie. from Bhoomakar chowk. Looking at the current expansion and it it's
future growth , this park needs at least 3 to 4 more approach roads . We have been told since last few years that
new approach roads will be built but there is no action been taken .The condition of existing roads is not also good.I
couldnot upload a video as there is no facility available here on this portal but that could have given you a better
understanding of this situation. Our everyday commute to office is nothing less than a horrible and dangerous ride
with experiences of reckless driving to reach office or home on time .We feel very sorry not just for who are
travelling but also for the police peronels who are trying to handle this grave situation with whatever insufficient
means they have . Many foreign professionals visit this park everyday for business engagements and I am sorry to
say they don't carry back a good impression with them. Dear Sir , looking at the income that this park is generating
for the Government in the form of (Taxes and employment ) this park deserves much better infrastructure like
roads, Transportation,and security.
Recently I read news about PMO taking action(or at least asking to take action) to local bodies for the grievances raised on PMO portal.
I,myself have lodged a grievance on PMO portal (http://pgportal.gov.in/GrievanceNew.aspx ) Registration Number : PMOPG/E/2016/0376556 on 4-Oct-2016 . I am uploading copy of the same with this petition.
I am yet to hear on it, but I guess if PMO can't do anything on this, no one else can help us.
My humble request on behalf of all my colleagues , to look into this and deliver
results ,as you have been doing always.
