Make Self-defense a mandatory part of girl's education in India to fight against Rape

“Self-defence is not just a set of techniques; it’s a state of mind, and it begins with the belief that you are worth defending”.
-Rorion Gracie
Rape is the fourth most common crime against women in India. The goal of this Petition is strongly not to invite any political tongue of war, so let’s follow a humanistic practical approach towards this issue.
Rape is a worldwide problem.
It is estimated that approximately 35% of women worldwide have experienced some form of sexual harassment in their lifetime. In the majority of countries that have data available on rape report that less than 40% of women who experience sexual violence seek help. Less than 10% seek help from law enforcement.

Being a daughter of India,
I am broken, shattered, petrified looking at an 8-month-old infant to an 80-year grandmother getting raped and killed every day in a most barbaric manner.
As per me, one of the solutions which should be considered without any delay is to make Self Defence as a compulsory existence skill in India for everyone especially Girl Children and for all women from different fields of society.
Every school and college of our Country should have Self-Defence as a mandatory subject, linked with compulsory sex education and physical education. Be it a Public School, NGO governed school, Government Sponsored or private, or any Madrassa, also including those schools run by MNCs as part of their CSR activities in rural India.
This initiative should also be taken by self-help groups of different MSME sectors, Anganwadi, and by all self-employed Women associations and Woman Rescue NGO and Skill learning centers.
My only intention of raising this petition is to make every woman, every child, every wife, every sister every girl every mother to be strong enough to protect their own selves. Apart from Government, It is our responsibility too as a citizen to come forward for reforms because this is our country our motherland and all the above victims were one of us.
Development is a twofold exchange of support between the Public and the Government. We can be the World Leader and set an example for each and every woman of this universe to make her believe that all can fight back.
Let’s unite together Beyond Politics, Media & Religion with one resolution to wipeout rape from India. I believe it can only be possible if we start our journey by taking our Conscience, Education, Knowledge, and Perseverance together to save our remaining Nirbhaya, Meenakshi, Afisa Banu, and Priyanka Reddy.
I am dedicating this Petition to all rape victims and also to our Sushant Singh Rajput, as teaching self-defense to women was one of his dream of life. Through this petition, I am expecting that one day every woman of India to be fearless like our Jhansi Ki Rani.
Let’s #FreeIndiaFromRape
