In a news article based on new documents obtained by VICE News it has been reported that the Canadian government has not been completely honest about its plan to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia. It has been discovered that the Canadian government is also providing such things as resources and staff and also military bases to test drive the armoured vehicles that are being sold to Saudi Arabia. It has also been reported by VICE News that contrary to what the Canadian government had claimed, the arms deal is between Canada and Saudi Arabia not a deal between a private company and a foreign country.
