Cancer is a killer decease which is claiming thousands of life every year in our country. It not only affects the patients but destroys the whole family emotionally and economically. Not only it affects the adults , it is quite predominent in childrens and new born babies also. It is going to become an epidemic in a few years.Every year millions of new cases of cancer patients are registered in our country. Out of these a substantive number of patients fall under the category of poor and under privileged. Cancer treatment is very expensive  and prolonged affair. Even for the privileged class it is quite difficult to cover the cost of cancer treatment in absence of a medical insurance cover. Poor and under privileged have no options other than to look towards charity and donation from philanthropists and charitable organisations. Although some hospitals like Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai provide medicines and treatment to poor and underprivileged patients but the hospital is over burdened with huge inflow of patients from all over India. What we need is hospitals like TMH in all the cities of India who should provide subsidized treatment to needy cancer patient or Govt. should make it mandatory for all the hospitals to treat needy cancer patients by providing subsidy on the treatment cost. We demand government of India to provide maximum subsidy for the cancer drugs and treatment for the poor and under privileged of our country
