The Issue

As a student, I am appalled by the statements being made, by both members of the government and their supporters. It hurts knowing, we are a Republic and in 2015, people are still discriminating against the LGBT community. These individuals are human beings and deserve the same level of respect given to straight individuals.

When a government minister makes the statement on social media saying:

"Please don't use the words, 'bull', Padarrrraaaattth, and me in the same sentence. I fraid" and then his supporters make derogatory remarks about Mr. Padarath what sort of behaviour is this.

Its time for the Government of Trinidad and Tobago to address the LGBT issues.

Mr. Keith Rowley, as leader of the Government, its time to deal with the issues that the LGBT community face on a daily basis.
