The new housing development in north Yate Ladden Garden Village (LGV) is in urgent need of a Primary School. Despite planning being approved for Two Primary Schools there is no move towards execution.

Community in LGV as well as entire Yate would benefit from a new school ASAP. Lack of this essential amenity has a negative impact on children, parents and the enviroment.

If you live in or near this area, the lack of a school will have a negative effect on you:

• Local children unable to create essential bonds with eachother
• Unnecessary school traffic (Tesco roundabout)
• Work life balance for already streched parents
• Lack of community sense usually created around school

Please sign this petition to draw the attention of South Gloucestershire Council to the problem.  Do this for your children, your neighbours, and for Yate.

We understand there are financial implications of this project, however similar issues have been solved by other councils by creating a temporary class in a different school, which transfers to the new school when building is complete.
