As an Alton native and middle aged queer woman, I love how far our city has come over the years in being a safe place for LGBTQ community members. Seeing pride flags around town is always heart warming. Many U.S. city's do rainbow themed displays to show support during Pride month every June, and would love to see that in Alton. Let's come together and see if we have enough support to take this suggestion to city council, and make it a reality for future Pride months in our Alton.
