I am a student here at Denver School of the Arts. A vibrant school full of wonderful students and outstanding educators. 

Imagine our heartbreak when we learned that our beloved teachers, were being possibly forced out of their jobs after years, solely due to poor financial decisions made by the school district. This is not just about the teachers of DSA; it's about all educators who are threatened by such unjust practices.

In Denver alone, there have been numerous cases where teachers were let go due to budget cuts or financial mismanagement within school districts (source: National Education Association). This is not only unfair to these dedicated professionals but also detrimental to students' education quality.

We need legislation that protects public educators from being fired due to bad economic choices made by their school districts. We should not be cutting costs on our beloved teachers; instead, we should find ways to gather funds in other ways. 

Our teachers shape future generations and they deserve better than this uncertainty and disrespect. Let us ensure that they can continue doing their jobs without fear of losing them because someone else made a mistake with money management.
