This is a plea for justice for Muppet, a dog who was found in an unimaginable state of neglect. He was discovered smelling rancid in feces and covered in fleas. He had been throwing up plastic, metal, live ants, sticks, leaves and even nails and screws. It's clear that he had been starved and neglected by his previous owners.

Muppet came to our rescue after being found wandering alone. Despite being outdoors for only about two hours before someone stumbled across him, he was actively dying when we got him the medical attention he needed. The poor creature was so malnourished that he weighed 30 lbs less than what would be considered healthy.

He spent a night at the emergency room fighting for his life where it was discovered that he had ingested nails and screws - a horrifying testament to his desperate state of hunger. Costing over 5k to make sure he would get proper treatment. 

We cannot allow Muppet to return to such an abusive environment where his basic needs were grossly ignored. According to the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), over 1000 cases of animal cruelty are reported each year in USA alone - but many more go unreported or unnoticed.
