Recently, a proposal has been introduced to reassign principals across our school district. Both Dr. Swann and Mrs. Moser will be reassigned to other schools. We are excited for the opportunity for Mrs. Moser to advance in her career. With Mrs. Moser leaving, we are petition for Dr. Swann to remain as principal at Laurel Lane Elementary School. 

• Dr. Swann is familiar with the culture, staff, and families that make up our school. 
• Her reassignment will impact staff retention and turnover. 
• Changes in leadership will cause additional strain to staff and families as they navigate new leadership and changes. 
  
  
  At a time when there are other pressing matters to concentrate on, such as providing free school meals to all schools, advancing student extracurricular programs, transportation challenges, teacher turnover, and enhancing educational outcomes, the focus should remain on continuity and stability within our school.
