As a resident of Lemoore, CA, I have seen firsthand how our city trash services have worked efficiently and cost-effectively. The potential privatization of these services threatens to increase costs for residents like myself and many others. Keeping trash services at the city level has proven to be cheaper for us all.

In cities where trash collection has been privatized, there is often an increase in service fees. For instance, in Atlanta, GA when waste management was privatized, residents saw their bills rise by as much as 20% (source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution). This is a burden that we cannot afford to bear. 

Moreover, our city workers who handle these tasks are part of our community; they live here and care about keeping Lemoore clean just like we do. Privatizing could lead to job losses or reduced wages for them which would negatively impact our local economy.
