Prevent the Deportation of 60 Afghan Women Leaders

Prevent the Deportation of 60 Afghan Women Leaders
The Issue
I share this harrowing saga of inescapable melancholy as a narrative not unknown to the Afghan women. I implore you to join this urgent appeal to prevent the deportation of 60 Afghan women leaders who are now facing imminent deportation.
These are women who have led critical movements, advocated for women's rights and made remarkable contributions to a country that is already plunging into a deep abyss due to ongoing political instability and conflict. Their deportation to Afghanistan would not only dismantle the work they have done but also put their lives in immense danger.
In 2020, Afghanistan was named the most dangerous country in the world for women, due to extreme violence, brutal discrimination, and an absence of human rights. Forced deportation to such a country is akin to a death sentence for these brave women (source: International Peace Institute).
This matter is personal to me because of the absolutely disrespectful and inhumane treatment experienced by these women. This is a blatant subversion of justice, and it is incumbent upon us to raise our voices and take fast and hard action.
The struggle of these women is everyone's struggle, and the violation of their rights is everyone's loss. Let's use our collective power to save these 60 Afghan women leaders from the possibility of deportation. Please sign and share this petition. Show the world that every woman's life is important, and that their dignity should not be taken away by unjust deportation.
