Prevent the Demolition of 52 Jasper Hill road, a Vital Teen Hangout Spot

The Issue

I am a teenager living in Holliston, MA. Like many others in my age group, we have limited places to socialize and hang out. One of our favorite spots has always been 52 Jasper Hill road which was an abound house. This area has served as a safe haven for us to gather, connect and create memories. Now, it's under threat of being torn down like many other abandoned buildings/houses.

The new owner's plans to demolish this spot is not just about losing a physical space; it's about losing an essential part of our community fabric that cannot be replaced by any commercial establishment or park.

Holliston is home to over 14,000 residents with approximately 20% being between the ages of 10-19 according to U.S Census Bureau data (source: U.S Census Bureau). That equates to around 2,800 young people who are potentially losing one of their few social spaces.

We understand that property owners have rights but believe there should be consideration for the wider community impact too. We're not asking for much - just that our voices are heard and considered in this decision-making process.

Please sign this petition if you believe in preserving vital social spaces like 52 Jasper Hill road for teenagers in Holliston. Your signature could make all the difference in saving this beloved hangout spot from demolition.

If this petition is approved me and my friends will help clean and make 52 Jasper Hill road a even better and a safer hangout spot for teens.
