Prevent the Church of England from Changing its Honourable Name

Prevent the Church of England from Changing its Honourable Name
The Issue
As a Christian, I am personally devastated at the proposed name change for the Church of England. A church holds deep religious significance to Christians. Referring to it as anything other than 'Church’ eradicates the historical and religious connotations attached with its full and venerated title, Church of England.
This proposed change seems like a surrender to the modern sensitivity rather than a respectful reconsideration. Moreover, the Church of England is the mother church of the worldwide Anglican Communion, having a member count of more than 85 million in about 165 countries (source: the Telegraph). Therefore, any modification to its long-standing name impacts millions of believers around the globe.
It is of utmost importance to preserve the honour and history of our faith. A name holds power and value; a name like the Church of England signifies centuries of faith, tradition and spiritual stewardship. It is our duty as stalwarts of faith to ensure that this rich tradition is not meddled with under the current wave of cultural sensitization.
Do not let our sacred institutions lose their essence to cultural trends. Stand up for faith, tradition and history. Support the notion that the Church of England must remain the Church of England. Sign the petition and register your solemn stance on this issue.
