Prevent the Ban on TikTok

The Issue

I am among many users who rely on TikTok for growth and personal expression. As an advocate for free speech and entrepreneurship, I see this platform as an irreplaceable tool for myself and countless others. It is undeniably a significant part of our lifetimes' digital culture. Endangering TikTok's existence infringes upon our rights, stifling emerging talents and groundbreaking businesses.

According to Datareportal's Digital 2020: October Global Statshot, there are approximately 800 Million TikTok users worldwide, embodying a range of business owners, artists, comedians, influencers, educators, and everyday people. Will it be fair to pull the plug on such a vast community?

Blocking TikTok also raises crucial economic issues. With about 1.5 million downloads per day (as reported by BusinessofApps, 2020), it is an essential platform for businesses, especially amidst the COVID-19 pandemic when people are shifting towards online solutions.

We cannot let this influential channel be banned. Restrictions should exist where needed, but an outright ban is excessive. Let us stand together to protect our digital rights and opportunities for growth that TikTok provides. Please, sign this petition to halt the proposed ban.
